Wine war over, B.C. government launches court process

Alberta Premier Rachel Notley has announced that her government’s boycott of B.C. wine sales is being dropped.
That announcement came on the heels of Premier John Horgan’s announcement that B.C. will be heading to court over the Kinder Morgan pipeline disagreement…..
Horgan says the province is now consulting with its lawyers about how to proceed.
A spokesperson for the Wine Island Vintners Association, Brenda Hetman-Craig, who is also a co-owner of 40 Knots Winery in Comox says Island wineries would have been hurt in the disagreement over the longer term as bigger mainland wineries pushed for more sales in our market.
Hetman-Craig says not a lot of Island wineries were selling product through the provincial distribution to begin with.
