Budgets used to be a time when the middle class could look forward to a tax break of some sort.
But, with the overdose crisis, affordable housing and the environment high on the agenda, retired political science professor, Allan Warnke says governments have a different focus.
He says rather than solicit support for their party from the middle class the focus is on convincing the electorate they need to spend money.
Following last week’s throne speech, Warnke isn’t expecting any surprises in the budget tomorrow (Tues)…..
