Nanaimo RCMP have released the name of the victim of a fatal shooting that happened on Saturday morning.
He is 34 year old Troy Dax McKinnon.
Investigators believe the shooting, that happened at Wakesiah Avenue and 2nd Street, was targeted.
There have been no arrests in the case.
In the meantime, police are also investigating a violent home invasion that happened Sunday in the 600 block of Howard Avenue.

Three men, aged 23 to 47, were beat and were taken to hospital.
The suspects fled before police arrived.
Mounties do not think the incident is related to the shooting but do believe it is the result of an ongoing feud between two groups.
