Pacific Ferries is hoping to get back on the water this year as their services have been suspended since September.
The company is currently waiting for a decision from the Vancouver Parks Board about a commercial agreement.
Joe Shaker, owner of the ferry service says if the agreement is approved, it’s going to cost them more money to operate but he does have a plan to offset those costs.
Shaker says the agreement process is expected to take awhile and he doesn’t have a timeline of when he expects to hear back.
