RCM SAR Station 27, in Nanaimo, has one less thing to worry about.
Spokesperson Josh Minami says the organization has snagged a Gaming Grant to the tune of 55,800 dollars….
The money will be used to train the volunteers, purchasing some safety equipment and perform some vessel maintenance.
Minami says the funding represents just over half of the organizations operating budget.
