Criminal charges could be coming to a Sunshine Coast resident as many people have told police that they’ve been scammed by the same person.
Constable Karen Whitby says the person used to work for a reputable fireplace company but since he’s been on his own he has been allegedly defrauding people of money from $300 – $3200.
Six complaints came from the Sunshine Coast and one was from Delta.
Whitby says they can’t guarantee that any money will be returned but they’re encouraging others to come forward so the man can be held criminally responsible for his actions.
