Nanaimo RCMP is partnering with the City of Nanaimo and the Telus Community Ambassadors to host a second pedestrian awareness session.
Constable Gary O’Brien says throughout the afternoon Wednesday officers, volunteers and Telus Ambassadors will be handing out reflective armbands to as many pedestrians and cyclists as possible at the intersection of Bruce Avenue and Fifth Street…..
O’Brien says the armbands are highly reflective.
He says several weeks ago a similar awareness campaign was held in the downtown area and the feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive.
