Police have arrested a 34 year old man in relation to a series of apartment building mailbox thefts in Nanaimo.
Olie Alexander Smith of Surrey was picked up in his hometown.
Smith was identified through video surveillance.
He also allegedly broke into cars in downtown Nanaimo and is now facing numerous charges including 5 of break and enter, theft of mail, driving while disqualified and breach of probation.
He was arrested after police carried out a search warrant at his home in Surrey.
