The BC SPCA says adopting a cat will be the best 10 pounds you’ll gain this holiday season.
The organization is holding a province-wide campaign to encourage people to adopt a cat and from now until next Sunday, all adult cat adoption fees are 50 per cent off.
Leon Davis of the Nanaimo branch says there are always lots of cats available to adopt….
Davis says an adult cat costs 150 dollars to adopt normally.
The fee includes vaccinations, spaying or neutering, permanent ID, any necessary medical care, and internal and external parasite treatment.
