Loaves and Fishes could use some extra volunteers to help get them through the Christmas season.
Peter Sinclair says they’ve got 1700 volunteer shifts to fill.
Those volunteers are needed for all sorts of jobs, from sorting food to sweeping the floor.
In the meantine, Sinclair says they’ve just added more bins to their Empties for Food program in Nanaimo….
One hundred per cent of the proceeds collected from those bins goes to ensure people in Nanaimo have access to healthy, nutritious food.
