The Nanaimo Ladysmith MP has visited the Speaker of the House of Commons to ask for a secret ballot vote so that her abandoned vessels bill can come to the floor for debate.
Sheila Malcolmson says she had no choice after the Liberals blocked debate on her bill….
The Speaker granted the request and now the secret ballot vote will be held next week, on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The results will be announced on Thursday at the beginning of the sitting day.
If it’s passed, Malcolmson says her abandoned vessels bill will come to the floor for debate on December 6th.
