NDSS to host Empty Bowl

Just about 3,900 dollars was raised during the empty bowl event in Nanaimo in past years.
This year the event will be hosted by the Nananimo District Secondary School Student Council and Pottery Program.
The bowls, that guests can keep, are filled with soup and sold to raise money for Nanaimo Loaves and Fishes.
Jean Kloppenburg is the Fine Arts teacher who oversees the making of 150 clay bowls for the event….
The event goes on Wednesday, December 13, at 5:30 pm and includes the soup dinner, a silent auction, and live entertainment from the NDSS jazz band.

Tickets are on sale now at the Nanaimo District Secondary School and cost 10 dollars per student or 15 dollars for an adult.
