RCMP say driver fatigue may have played a role in a fatal accident on the Trans Canada near Duncan.
Just before 8 Sunday morning a car slammed into a light standard at an intersection. A front seat passenger was killed, the driver remains in hospital with life threatening injuries and the rear seat passenger was treated for minor injuries.
The dead passenger was a man in his ’20s from the Port Alberni area. The man behind the wheel and the woman in back seat are also in their ’20s and from the Port Alberni area.
RCMP say they want to hear from anyone who saw the accident at the intersection of Bench Road and Highway 1. Please call the North Cowichan / Duncan RCMP at 250-748-5522.
