Sechelt’s Farmers and Artisans Market opens for another season April 5th.
The Market is going into its third year on Cowrie Street, downtown. Market organizers say being on in that location has enabled them to grow to nearly 70 vendors.
But there’s some uncertainty now about how long they’ll be staying.
Mayor John Henderson says he’s been talking with the Market after first responders and others suggested it be moved. He says the idea being considered would still be on the street, and in an area that would allow more vendors.
The market runs from 9am to 2:30 Saturday afternoons, through to the end of September.
