Canada C3 is a Signature Project for Canada’s 150th Anniversary of Confederation in 2017.
The centrepiece of the initiative is an epic 150-day sailing journey from Toronto to Victoria via the Northwest Passage.
It will be in our vicinity this weekend.
Graham Sakaki, the research and community engagement coordinator for the Mount Arrowsmith Biosphere Region Research Insitute at VIU says they’ll be meeting the participants of the vessel this weekend…..
Some of the participants on the journey will be visiting Rathtrevor Beach for a variety of activities and they’ll get a tour of the Qualicum Fish Hatchery.
The sailing journey is due to wrap up in Victoria next Saturday.
