Nanaimo RCMP are investigating a single vehicle crash near Cilaire Elementary School.
It happened just before 3 o’clock this morning (Wed) and sent one man to hospital with life threatenting injuries.
There may still be some traffic disruptions in effect in the southbound lane on Departure Bay Road or detours around Brooks Landing Mall.
Motorists are asked if at all possible to avoid the area.
