A special weather statement is in effect for East Vancouver Island from Duncan all the way up through Nanaimo and to Campbell River.
The system is also expected to hit the Sunshine Coast.

The rain will taper off tomorrow (Tues) over coastal regions as the wind moves in.
But then a second storm system will arrive early Wednesday, bringing another round of heavy rain.
Rainfall and wind warnings may be issued for that storm.
