During the annual Pender Trash Bash last fall nearly 4 dozen volunteers helped pick up close to 5,000 kilograms of trash.
Dave Pritchard says there is both a spring and fall clean up in the community with the spring one focusing on roadside trash but the fall event goes deeper…..
Pritchard says the annual fall clean up event is set to go this Saturday….
Lunch will be provided by the Pender Harbour Rotary Club.
Last fall volunteers picked up dozens of tires, 2 washing machines, 2 clothes dryers, 6 televisions, a microwave, a fridge, computers, more than half a dozen car batteries and numerous other articles.
