It seems the big money, from corporations and unions, is being taken away from political parties and instead, taxpayers will foot the bill.
The NDP’s John Horgan announced their plan to take corporate and union money out of politics but what he didn’t talk about was his transition allowance that will see the B.C. Liberals and NDPÂ each get about one point 9 million dollars next year from the taxpayer.
The Greens will get about 830,000, if the bill is passed.
It works out to 2 dollars 50 cents per vote.

The system of funding political parties through taxpayer subsidies is the common practice in both Ontario and Quebec.
