The Dakota Ridge Winter Recreation Area has wrapped things up for another season.
Sam Adams is a Parks Planner with the Sunshine Coast Regional District. He says even though there’s still snow the pre-planned closing date makes sense, because with the school break done, people are starting to focus on spring and summer sports.
Adams also says when the numbers are added up they’ll show a drop in visitors to the taxpayer supported cross country ski and snowshoe area, because of a lack of snow at a critical time early in the season.
Adams says some 50 volunteers helped keep things running smoothly again this season.
