Hundreds flock to Davis Bay for Eclipse 2017

Davis Bay was the place to be on the Sunshine Coast to watch the partial eclipse.

Hundreds flocked to the beach their telescopes and the local astronomy club managed to give away a few hundred eclipse glasses under an hour.

Scott Harlow with the Sunshine Coast Astronomy Club says the meaning of an eclipse can be quite subjective and it different for everyone and that’s why he’s so interested in watching the eclipse.

The next eclipse won’t be happening until 2023.
