More farmer’s markets are popping up in the province.
Executive Director BC Association of Farmers Markets Heather O’Hara says there’s an overall trend to find and purchase local food and people are supporting it because they also get to see and talk to the people who grow your food.
O’Hara says there’s also some new experimental crops and processed food that are available at the markets that you can’t find anywhere else.
