The Mounties are reminding the public that it’s never okay to leave young kids in a car by themselves.
Sergeant Michael Hacker with the Sunshine Coast RCMP says last Tuesday they dealt with an incident in Sechelt where two kids were left alone in a car, in the parking lot of a grocery store.
Although the windows were rolled down, Mounties believe they were left there for about half an hour and one of the kids was distressed from the heat.
Hacker says anything could happen if you leave your kid in a car alone and to never do so under any circumstances.
