One in 5 Canadians will get skin cancer

Hopefully, we will start to see more of the sun with the official arrival of summer next Wednesday.
Along with that, the BC Cancer Agency has a warning for us.
Skin cancer has increased significantly among men and women during the last 25 years.
Agency dermatologist and UBC professor, Dr. Harvey Lui says UV radiation causes about 90 per cent of melanoma cases in Canada…
Lui says the incidence of skin cancer is not higher in any particular skin colour…..

One of the best ways to prevent skin cancer is to avoid the sun between the hours of 11 and 3, cover your skin, including your face and neck by wearing a big brimmed hat, do your outside activities in the shade and use sunscreen.
