Diana Krall Plaza will be the site of a Friday Evening Market, beginning this spring. The Downtown Nanaimo Business Improvement Association wanted to create a way to bring more people to Commercial street on a Friday evening.
Corry Hostetter, Executive Director of the DNBIA, says they’ve chosen Dale Letourneau as the contractor to operate the market. Letourneau is the owner of Chameleon Marketing and Events.
Hostetter says Letourneau is seeking vendors for the juried market. There’s an application form available online. The market will debut on May 2nd and run for 22 weeks, with a focus on those who “Make It, Bake It, Grow It, Raise It or Catch It”.
