The Town of Gibsons is organizing a special council meeting tomorrow afternoon. (Tues)
The main focus of the meeting is focused on approving a loan bylaw through an Alternative Approval Process for a few capital improvement projects.
The town wants to make some improvements on Gibsons Way and Armours Beach.
If the Alternative Approval Process goes through, the town would be borrowing over $1.7 million over the next 20 years and the interest and debt repayment would start in the next fiscal year.
If the AAP is struck down, Council also has the option to organize a referendum, which would cost $30, 000.
