Police are investigating after a 15 year old boy was struck by a vehicle just before 8:30 this morning (Mon).
It happened at Norwell Drive near Departure Bay Road.
The boy was taken to hospital with significant but non-life threatening injuries.
RCMP investigators have determined the boy was attempting to cross Norwell Drive on his way to school when the accident happened.
Witnesses told police the boy was not crossing in a designated crosswalk.
The 48 year old woman driving the vehicle was not hurt, police have ruled out speed, alcohol and drugs and say it was overcast at the time of the accident and the roads were wet from a light rainfall.
