Lucy the emu is still wandering Nanaimo.
Owner Tim Genner says the closest thing to a solid lead they had on March 21st, was a report from Lost Lake Road near Rutherford, where someone thought they heard Lucy, who makes a distinctive low, growling sound.
Genner says he’s getting worried Lucy could be hit by a car, or run afoul of conservation officers. He also says people shouldn’t try to catch Lucy, if they see him. The best thing to do is call Nanaimo RCMP or Genner himself at 250-591-6131.
