Sunshine Coast RCMP investigating several cases of vandalism

Sunshine Coast RCMP are looking for information on some recent vandalism,  including an incident at the Dakota Ridge Winter Recreation area.

Police say somebody got into the warming hut at Dakota Ridge overnight Friday (March 14/15), broke coat hooks from the wall and ripped a plank off a picnic table.  They also left beer bottles and cans strewn about.

RCMP also say vandals hit the washrooms at Hackett Park in Sechelt again.  It happened sometime between March 8th and 10th. Police are reviewing security camera footage.

And on March 11, someone tore off branches and stripped the bark from several young trees along Park Avenue near the Gibsons Recreation Centre and near the Gibsons Heritage Playhouse.  Town officials say the damage effectively killed the trees.

If you have any information on these incidents contact the detachment at 604-885-2266
