There’s a new round of protests against cuts to BC Ferries.
The BC Ferry Coalition is following up the March 11th protest at the Legislature with rallies in coastal communities Saturday.
Jef Keighley speaks for the Coalition. He says after the big rally Tuesday, the group is hearing the Liberals may be divided on the issue.
Keighley says local protests are planned in Gibsons, Sechelt, Gabriola Island, Powell River and other places. A group from Bowen Island is planning to demonstrate outside the Horseshoe Bay offices of Liberal MLA Jordan Sturdy, who’s been acting as the premier’s point-man on the BC Ferries file.
