The Ministry of the Environment says it has to make a slight change to the boundaries of Mount Richardson Provincial Park near Sechelt to correct an “administrative error.”
The change is included in a bill introduced Thursday that adds some 55-thousand hectares to the province’s protected areas. Most of the new land is in the Interior.
In all, the government is looking to change the boundaries of six parks, one conservancy and one ecological reserve.
The change at Mount Richardson involves less than a hectare.
