Oceanside RCMP say their investigation into a fire and explosion at a home in Dashwood has revealed it was the site of an illegal drug production operation.
Cpl. Jesse Foreman says butane was being used to extract and produce cannabis oil and a spark from an unknown source caused the butane fumes to ignite.
Foremen says the three men seriously injured in the explosion remain in hospital with severe burns. No charges have been laid but he says they could recommend criminal negligence charges.
