Sunshine Coast RCMP are investigating a string of break-ins and attempted break-ins in Sechelt.
RCMP say when they went to check out an alarm Sunday at a business in the 5700 block of Medusa Street they found someone had damaged a door, then smashed two windows get in. But, nothing was taken. Police figure the alarm scared off the burglar.
And, overnight on the 9th, somebody smashed a window of a vehicle in the 5600 block of Trail Avenue, cutting themselves and leaving blood all over.
The same person appears to have pulled the screens off windows trying, without luck, to get into two nearby homes.
The suspect did get into an unlocked motorhome and stole a crescent wrench. RCMP say the tool has the owner’s name engraved on it.
