Carving stolen from Nanaimo gallery

Nanaimo RCMP are asking for help from the public after a valuable carving was taken from a local gallery. Constable Gary O’Brien says an octopus carving was stolen from the Blue Poppy Gallery on Wesley Street on February 12.

O’Brien says they’re hoping someone has information about the carving so it can be returned to the gallery.

Meanwhile, RCMP are also looking for the owner of an expensive ring found in Nanaimo. Call the detachment if it’s yours or you know whose it may be.
