Man charged in Nanaimo shotgun incident

RCMP in Nanaimo say only one of the people arrested after somebody fired a shotgun into an apartment wall is going to face charges.

A 23 year old man who lives in the apartment in the 6-thousand block of Quilchena will appear in court March 11th on a charge of careless handling of a firearm.

Police say they found the gun used in a pond off Harwood Road in Lantzville.

They also say Victim Services having been helping the people from the neighbouring unit, where the shotgun blast went through the wall, cope with the incident.
