Cougar on RDN trail

A cougar displaying predatory behaviour has been sighted on the Arrowsmith CPR Regional Trail.
The Provincial Conservation Officer is monitoring the case.
To give the cat time to clear the area, hikers are advised to stay away until tomorrow.
Hikers, encountering a cougar on a trail should not approach the animal, pick up their children, do not run away but back away slowly without turning your back to it.
Hikers should make no sudden movements and make themselves look as big as possible.
