Nanaimo RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit is at a home in Lantzville after a body was discovered in the wreckage of a burned out garage.
Constable Gary O’Brien of Nanaimo RCMP says the Lantzville Volunteer Fire Department was called to the property on Myron Road around 6:30 Tuesday evening.
O’Brien says as far as investigators know at this point there was nobody else in the home when the fire broke out.He says the condition of the body is making identification difficult, but they’re hoping to have answers soon and notify any next of kin.
