The B.C government is encouraging people to celebrate Canada’s Parks Day Saturday by visiting some of the provincial parks in the province.
Ben Eaton with the Sechelt Vistors Centre says residents on the Sunshine Coast are fortunate because there are several provincial parks throughout the region.
Another family-friendly and easily accessible park is Smuggler Cove near Halfmoon Bay.
Eaton says anyone who’s looking for a challenge and are experienced hikers, the Tetrahedron Provincial Park would be ideal for them.
