A refugee family of 5 children and 3 adults will arrive in Vancouver, bound for Qualicum, on July 14th.
Carol Doering, chair of the Qualicum Refugee Sponsorship group says she expects the family, none of whom speak English, to be pretty overwhelmed upon their arrival…..
Doering says an interpreter has been hired and will stay with the family to help them get organized.
She says thanks to the community, and supporters from Parksville, Bowser and Errington, 56,000 dollars has been raised to help support the family.
