The Town of Gibsons is getting ready to Celebrate Canada’s birthday Friday.
Wendy Gilbertson, Director of Parks and Community Services with the Town of Gibsons says they’ll be at Winegarden Park for 2pm, but Gilbertson says the celebrations will be pretty low-key.

Some local artists will be performing and they expect to wrap up around 5pm.
The District of Sechelt will have their Canada Parade at 10:30 in the morning. And then celebrate their 30th annivsary as a District, they’ll be hosting a free concert at Friendship Park for 8pm and will end the night with some fireworks.
