NDP proposes $15 an hour minimum wage

BC’s NDP is vowing to increase minimum wage to 15 dollars an hour, as they prepare for the next provincial election. Leader John Horgan made the announcement on Sunday, and local Cowichan Valley MLA Bill Routley is very supportive.
Routley says the current minimum wage is just not enough.
President of the Duncan Chamber of Commerce Julie Scurr says there is some confusion surrounding who holds most minimum wage jobs.
Scurr says such a drastic increase in minimum wage will be detrimental to small businesses.
