Ceri Bowles is the volunteer coordinator for Vancouver Coastal Health and she’s hoping more people will sign for their volunteer driving programs.
Bowles says some of her drivers have moved and people who sign up will help seniors who don’t have access to transportation, get to their doctor’s appointments.
The perfect candidate would be someone who is retired or working part time.
Volunteers will be compensated with some gas money as well as money for a meal, depending on how long the trip is.
