Red flags for snow melt, water and fires

Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource officials have provided an update about the latest snow bulletin and the outlook for drought and wildfires this summer.
Valerie Cameron, manager of water stewardship says Vancouver Island remains in a level 3 drought position because it is very dry……
Dave Campbell with the River Forecast Centre says on the Island many river and stream flows are below the minimums for this time of year.
The B.C. Wildfire Service says we are moving into a drying trend in the next couple of days and officials there are asking the public to be cautious with any activities in the forest as we head towards Canada Day.
