Recently the Sechelt Nation’s administration office was locked down by protesters who signed a petition asking for Chief Calvin Craigen’s resignation.
Craigan recently held a press conference and made it clear that he did not resign.
He’s confident that neither he nor the Councilors have done anything morally or ethically wrong.
Within the month, Craigan says they’ll be one of the first three bands to sign a reconciliation agreement.
This Saturday, the Sechelt Nation will also be doing a by-election to elect a new council member.
