Craigan elected SIB Chief, Feschuk successful in bid for Council seat

A former Chief has been chosen again to lead the Sechelt First Nation.

Calvin Craigan, who has been a Councillor in the past and last served as chief from 1974 to 1983, won the weekend election by just 7 votes over Henry Paull.  Kevin August finished third.

Outgoing Chief Garry Feschuk, who decided to run for a council seat, was successful.  The other councillors elected were Christopher August, Randy Joe, and Benedict Pierre.

The term for the newly elected Chief and Council begins April 1st.
