The Town of Gibsons is hoping to start a Gibsons Harbour & Area Economic Development Strategy.
They’ve applied for the BC Rural Dividend Program to help with some of the costs.
If the Town of Gibsons is accepted, the program will cover 80 percent of the costs associated with the economic development strategy.
Council Silas White says having something like this will go a long way.
Gibsons CAO Manny Machado  says there will be two phases of their economic development strategy. The first phase will cost approximately $30, 000.
