Marg Drysdale with Coastal Fire Centre wants to assure the public that they’re safe after the Dakota Ridge fire.
The fire was discovered late yesterday afternoon and they believe it was a human-caused fire.
Drysdale says right now the fire is under investigation and points out for the long weekend, camp fires are allowed despite the Category 2 open fires prohibition.
