Cruise ship coasts into Nanaimo

The largest cruise ship ever to dock in Nanaimo will arrive Wednesday morning.
The ship, on its way to Alaska, can carry 3800 people and 1100 crew.
It weighs 138,000 tons and is 1025 feet long.
The ship, the Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas has 15 decks, a 3 storey dining room, surf simulator, 3-D movie theatre, climbing wall, basketball court, ice-skating rink and mini-golf course among other things.
The ship is one of 6 that will be making a stop in Nanaimo this year.
