Leadership Vancouver Island program builds a much needed kitchen

The Nanaimo Women’s Centre will be able to offer some new programming thanks to a new kitchen.

The kitchen and a new wheelchair accessible bathroom is being installed thanks to students in the Leadership Vancouver Island program.

The executive director of the Women’s Centre is Leslie Clarke….

 

Clarke says the kitchen is vital to the daily interactions the Centre’s staff has with clientele.

The Centre had more than 3,000 visits last year.
