It has been 30 years now since the Village of Sechelt transformed into the District of Sechelt.
And in order for Sechelt to improve and sustain themselves for the long term, Mayor Bruce Milne says community identity will be a key factor.
Milne says it is important to remember to be open to change so the District of Sechelt can reach its full potential.
And long term plans need to put into place, because in the past, those plans were non-existent.
